Nancy Rink

Hailing from central California, self-taught quilter Nancy Rink has taken a circuitous route to get where she is today. After twenty-three years of teaching junior high and high school English, Nancy decided it was time for a change. “I am not much of a risk-taker, so with a lot of encouragement from my husband, Oliver, I took a year leave of absence to pursue quilting full-time.” Since then, Nancy has designed and published dozens of quilt patterns and block of the month programs, taught all across California, and vended at quilt shows. She has been published in many quilting magazines, is the solo author of four books, Timeless Traditional Quilts, Quilts That Honor Tradition, City Blocks and Quilts to Warm Today’s Home, and has co-authored with her husband Oliver Away From Home: Quilts Inspired by the Lowell Factory Girls and El Camino Real: Quilts Inspired by Early California History.
